Ten years ago, a group of voice actors sat around a table, rolled some dice, and unintentionally created a global storytelling phenomenon. Critical Role changed the face of tabletop RPGs, building a world that's beloved by millions. Now, ten years later, we're returning to where it all began and you're coming with us.

Vox Rewatch is our love letter to Critical Role Campaign 1, retold by three fans who wish to relive the humor, the lore, and the awesome moments that stole our hearts and made us fall in love with Vox Machina. Whether you're rewatching with us or discovering the magic for the first time, you're in the right place.

Why Critical Role?

Campaign 1 of Critical Role is not just a livestream it's the foundation of a revolution. It introduced high-level roleplay, soap operatic intrigue, and ad-libbed comedy to a gigantic crowd while remaining a group of pals goofing off at a table.

But seeing it again now, all these years after the fact, contributes something additional: context. You already know which way some of these stories are heading. You can see the little moments that led to the major character developments. And maybe, just maybe, you're ready to fall in love with it all over again just like we were.

What Makes This Rewatch Special

We're not professional critics or affiliated with Critical Role. We're just fans. Three friends, Eric, Connie, and Doug, who met back in 2007 while we worked at Target. Since then, we’ve bonded over D&D, video games, and figuring out how to dodge morning huddles. That journey led us to finding something worth sharing in this messy, passionate maelstrom of Campaign 1.
